Bailando En Cuba

59.00

Bailando En Cuba (Dancing In Cuba) is a solo work for trumpet with concert band.

We're going to dance and party. And all this in the exotic atmosphere of rumba. The word 'rumba' literally means 'party' in Spanish.

The piece opens with a cadenza, a call from the trumpet to get on the dance floor. Then the whole thing turns into a compelling, sensual rumba, the dance of seduction. The trumpet gets a not unimportant solo part, but as befits a real rumba, the percussion section also gets its money's worth in the middle section with a solo passage.

Bailando En Cuba: fun for the musicians, seductive and light-hearted for the listeners!
