CHORD LEARNING APPLIED TO CLASSICAL & ELECTRIC GUITAR
The purpose of this course is to teach both beginning and advanced guitarists how to make music without a given score. We learn to accompany melodies in different styles, write chords & melodies ourselves above a bass assignment and finally improvisation is also discussed. We always start from a theoretical insight that we then apply to our instrument. This course is focused on guitar, but can also be applied to other instruments provided you fulfill your own instrumental-technical capabilities.
Method
Method per subject in four steps:
- What? = structure. We learn to understand what a chord is from music theory.
- Where? = functionality. Where can we apply this agreement?
- How? = instrumental-technical. How can we play this on the guitar?
- Application = We apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
