On September 6, 1944, Ypres was liberated by the 1st Polish Armored Division. This day is commemorated annually with an impressive parade of various orchestras from home and abroad through the city center of Ypres. The highlight of this event is the daily Last Post.
Liberty tries to evoke a feeling of pride, joy and emotion, but also of sadness for the many sacrifices that the pursuit of freedom entailed.
