Lullaby (for Dead Syrian Children):

The work Lullaby was composed at the request of the International School of Brussels (ISB) to be performed by the string orchestra.

Poem (Thinking of home):
Shalan Alhamwy: “This piece was commissioned by AMIS Honor Festival to be performed by the AMIS String Orchestra in Brussels spring of 2017. This sentimental composition is almost like a flashback to the past triggered by a thought, smell or a sound, which the first violins represents with the high harmonic E. Then Falling into memories about home, and floating on waves of nostalgia, until coming back again to the reality, with a loaded heart.“
