Sindsdien heeft hij het genoegen gehad om wekelijks voor een enthousiaste bende jong geweld te mogen staan. Het was dan ook een logische stap zelf een werk te schrijven voor dit orkest.  Bij de totstandkoming van dit werk werd bijzonder veel aandacht geschonken aan het voornaamste kwaaltje dat vaak samengaat bij jeugdorkesten: hiaten in de bezetting, voornamelijk bij de lage kopers. De score is dan ook voorzien van een weelde aan \u00e0 d\u00e9fauts om dit probleem te verhelpen."}
