The composition Caleidoscope is a tribute to the very versatile musician Dirk De Caluw\u00e9, born in Lokeren on June 25, 1956 and unfortunately died on March 8, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

Dominic Reynders and Kristof Aerts, Dirk's last master's students in HaFaBra conducting, took the initiative in 2020 to unite six composers and have a special composition written together as a tribute to Dirk. The composition was given the title\u00a0Kaleidoscope<\/b>\u00a0and was written especially for Dominic and Kristof's final exams. The six composers who committed themselves are:\u00a0Steven Verhaert\u00a0<\/b>(Introduzione<\/i>),\u00a0Klaas Coulembier<\/b>\u00a0(Avanti, Avanti!<\/i>),\u00a0Jan Hadermann<\/b>\u00a0(Broken Chorale<\/i>),\u00a0Jan Van der Roost<\/b>\u00a0(Eleg\u00eda del Recuerdo<\/i>),\u00a0Tom Hondeghem<\/b>\u00a0(Contrasting Layers<\/i>) and\u00a0Bart Picqueur<\/b>\u00a0(Ex cinere suo<\/i>).<\/p>\n

In consultation with the composers and publisher, the entire proceeds from the sale will go to\u00a0Stand up against Cancer<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n
