Dit thema wordt beantwoord in de dominanttoonaard (Riposta), en begeleid door het contrasubject. Vervolgens komt er een derde inzet van het thema, opnieuw in de hoofdtoonaard (S) en een vierde inzet in het pedaal (R), telkens voorzien van het contrasubject.<br \/>\nNa de voorstelling van het thema komt er een ontwikkeling vanaf maat 112. De thema\u2019s worden op verschillende manieren herhaald en kleinere motieven uit het thema kunnen afgesplitst worden.
