'Mirror on Martragny 18-19' was composed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the flight from the Sint-Stanislas College from Poperinge to the castle of Martragny in Normandy.
It is a story about war violence, fleeing, staying in a strange environment and musing about home, the return, the confrontation with the scars of the war, and looking forward to the future with hope. A story written in the context of WWI, but which unfortunately applies to today.
