At first glance it seems like yet another fantasy story, but in this case it is pure reality... Byron Preiss hid 12 treasure chests in the United States containing a key. Each key corresponds to a safe containing a valuable jewel.
The Secret, A Mythology for the Modern World is the first part of a triptych for concert band with optional choir. Composer Peter Leroy was inspired by 4 paintings and 4 verses from the book in each part. This first part describes 4 parts:
- The African Fairies
- Rusalka, the Russian Mermaid Water Nymph
- The Spirits of Persia
- Centaurs from Hellas
