I want a train
€14.00
This cheerful swinging work for children's choir, piano and a flexible small ensemble shows the course of a train's journey. The song starts with a calm mood as an intro, after which the train prepares to depart. You can hear this in the music through repeated notes and body percussion, all in one big accelerando. After the train has finally reached its pace, we hear 2 more whistle tones and the main part of the song starts. Here the choir sings cheerfully about train travel. At the end the train arrives and everything slowly falls silent. Here we hear the body percussion and repeated notes again, but then slowing down instead of speeding up. In this way the train has traveled the entire route from A to B smoothly, without delays or hold-ups, and with many enthusiastic passengers.
The children's choir is largely monophonic, with occasional options for two-part singing, which speeds up the rehearsal process. In addition, the text and body percussion also easily find their way to the children. The choir can choose to be accompanied by just piano, but it is advisable to use the other flexible parts so that the work can come into its own. For example, strings or soft wind instruments lend themselves perfectly to the flexible scores, together with 2 percussionists for the drum and percussion part.
